What it does

When BigCommerce creates a new customer account (store/customer/created), the app emails every address on your recipient list. Orders and customer profile edits do not send alerts.

Install

1. Install New Customer Notifier by Monkey Butler from the BigCommerce App Marketplace.
2. Approve the permission request when BigCommerce asks.
3. Open the app from Apps in the control panel.

First setup

1. Confirm or add notification recipients. The store user’s email may already be listed. Type one address or paste several separated by commas.
2. Leave Send notifications on.
3. Click Save settings.
4. Optional: click Send test email. Delivery goes only to recipients already saved. The subject starts with [Test] and uses sample customer data, not a real store customer.

Optional: what the email says

Open What the email says to choose which fields appear (name, email, company, customer ID) and to build a subject from words and those fields. Leave that section closed to keep the standard message.

Confirm a live alert

1. In BigCommerce admin, create a new customer (Customers → Add).
2. Expect one email at each saved recipient within a few minutes. Check spam if needed.

Pause or uninstall

Turn off Send notifications and save to pause without uninstalling. Uninstall from Apps when you want the app removed from the store.
