CoTimer — Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 7, 2026 · Open web app

CoTimer (also known as SyncTimer in some store records; “the App”) helps households and partners share timed tasks, alarms, acknowledgements (Done / Can't / Snooze), and related history. This policy explains what information the App handles. The App is published by Monkey Butler Software Inc.

Summary

Account information

When you sign up or sign in, we process:

You can change your email or password, and reset a forgotten password, from the sign-in flow and Settings → Email & password.

Household and timer content

To provide shared timers, we store content you and your group create, including:

Other members of a group you join can see timer activity shared with that group (for example who marked Done). Do not put sensitive medical prescriptions, government IDs, passwords, or private data into timer titles if you do not want group members to see them.

Device, notifications, and diagnostics

Service providers

We use infrastructure providers to run the App. Depending on the build, this may include:

These providers process data only as needed to operate the App under their respective terms and privacy policies.

Purchases

Early access may be free. If subscriptions or one-time purchases are offered later (for example optional capacity or content packs), Apple or Google process payment. We do not receive your full card details. Purchase status may be restored through the store's restore-purchases flow.

How we use information

Retention and account deletion

We retain account and household-related data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You may sign out on a device at any time.

Delete your account in the App (App Store and Google Play requirement):

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Email & password.
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm with your current password.

Deletion is scheduled with a 14-day recovery window. During that period you can sign back in and choose Keep my account to cancel deletion. After the grace period ends, we permanently remove your authentication account and associated profile data (memberships and push registrations for your user, and households you alone still owned). Shared history that other remaining group members still need may remain in their group records. Deletion does not require you to contact us first; the in-app path is the primary method.

If you cannot use the App to finish deletion (for example you lost access to the account email), use the CoTimer support form and mention account deletion. We will process reasonable requests within a commercially reasonable time, subject to legal retention needs.

Children's privacy

The App is intended for adults and general consumers who manage household tasks. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Product disclaimer

CoTimer provides coordination and reminder tools only. It is not a medical device, medical advice, monitoring service, or emergency alert system. Timers and notifications are best-effort and may be delayed or missed due to device settings, OS power saving, permissions, or network conditions.

Contact

Privacy questions and data requests: CoTimer support form (or the site-wide support page). Prefer in-app account deletion for closing your account when you still can sign in.

Changes

We may update this policy as the App evolves. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Material changes may also be described in an app update or on our website.
